On green tomatoes, future babies, and knowing people can change

The last of the green tomatoes are sitting on the counter this week. I eked out a couple of extra days when I knew the frost was coming by taking some of those giant blue tarp Ikea bags (you know the ones) and using them like mini-greenhouses draped upside down over the top of my favorite plants.
