It's easy with little kids, big jobs, and busy days to forget precisely how expensive time is. There's never quite enough of it to do everything we want to do, and yet - it's always easy to feel like there's plenty of it left to spend.
Money, on the other hand, always feels like it's tight. No matter how much I make or how well we're doing, I was born with the frugal gene. I came by it honestly - my Dad would drive his old Hondas until they became a joke amongst his friends. We clipped coupons, wore hand-me-downs, and shopped sales at my house.
Last week, I was remarking to my neighbor friend that I don't understand why outdoor planters are so expensive and asked her if the big bright blue buckets previously used to feed cows minerals would be tacky if I spray painted them. She had the suggestion (a good one) that I jump on the "rope-wrapped bandwagon" and wrap them.
