Even the coldest days are fulfilling

Before I had an urban farm, I used to appreciate that brief band of time between asleep and awake where I tried to hold onto my dreams as long as possible. Now I use that time to do a mental pre-conscious inventory: "Where are the (human) kids?" "What day of the week is it?" "What is the weather like?" - in that order.
